Week of training

Last week, we had a training at the SIM France base. A good thing with this training is that we spent some time in the South of France, enjoying a warm sunshine!

We spent most of our time discussing with the team based in Orange. The training was based on informal discussions but we covered a lot of topics such as finances and other administrative stuff (insurance, retirement etc.), what location for us (town or village), what objectives for the coming months, what objectives for our first 20 months in Benin, education of the children, communication with families and friends etc.

That was very interesting. Now that we discussed a lot we will be able to make some decisions in the coming months before we can leave.
It was also very good to spend some time with the people running the office who are very good friends.
